IN the past two instalments, we have tried to show how today's so-called "church" is not a Church, as the Church is the spiritual body of Christ - of which one automatically becomes part of as soon as one receives Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour - but are mere man-made organisations formed to fulfill man's greed for power and money, fuelled by lies and manipulations.
As such, the question that now begs to be answered is: Who is truly the force behind these organisations?
Misrepresentations and lies told by these so-called "churches" - since they first came into being centuries ago with the Roman Catholic Church, and subsequently, protestants, Pentecostals, evangelicals, etc., - cannot be from God as He cannot lie (Numbers 23: 19; Hebrews 6: 18), and is faithful to His Word.
Who, then, is the founder and director of these so-called churches: It is Satan the Devil, who is the father of all lies (John 8: 44); and do the people who lead these organisations work in cahoots with him - knowingly or unknowingly (Proverbs 14: 5)?
God warns believers against such, and labels them the "anti-christs" (1 John 2: 18-27), as they not only lie, but their actions effectively deny - albeit covertly - that Jesus is the Christ.
This denial is most prominent in today's Christian religious leaders' continued insistence that they are in the same mold as Levitical priests, as they still demand a share of tithes and offerings previously meant for Levites - who were not to be gainfully employed, but served at the temple full time.
However, scripture tells us that Jesus Christ is now the High Priest and that the Levitical priesthood was abolished (Hebrews 7: 11-28). Therefore, by insisting that they are Levitical priests, today's Christian religious leaders are effectively denying that Jesus is now the High Priest: In other words, they are denying Him to be the Christ.
Additionally, today's Christian religious leaders' continued portrayal of themselves as the only ones with the powers from God for healing, blessing, etc., is also rejecting what Jesus Christ said about all those who believe in Him being able to do greater things than what He (Jesus Christ) did during His earthly life (John 14: 12).
There is so much that we can pin-point as evidence of today's so-called churches being anti-christs, but due to space constraints we will only use these.
Why lie? These so-called churches give believers a false sense of security, making them believe that they are in God's safe hands (2 Corinthians 11: 13-15) - as they can easily portray themselves as Christ-inspired through sweet-sounding teachings, miracles, powers and prophesies that may appear to be from God (Matthew 7: 15-20) - yet they are in Satan's domain, where they are manipulated and used for the selfish benefit of the leaders.
Believers should, in fact, be very wary of even having these leaders lay hands on them, as this may be a way of imparting evil spirits on them.
The solution to this issue is simple. Adhere to the Word of God, as it is clear on how to avoid such deception.
The duty of believers is to introduce non-believers to Jesus Christ and His love (Mark 16: 15-18). After which, the new believer is led to be baptised in water and with the Holy Spirit (Acts 1: 5) who will guide and teach the new believer in all truth (John 16: 5-16).
Thereafter, the new believer, empowered and led by the Holy Spirit and Scripture, is ready for spiritual growth and introducing other non-believers to Christ. At this stage, the Bible makes it unambiguously clear that the believer should no longer receive teaching from anyone except the Holy Spirit (1 John 2: 26,27).
That is why it is unscriptural for believers to rely on other people - pastors included - for teaching of the Word of God, as this not only opens the way for misleading, but also limits the work of God in that believer's life, since what they receive is bound by man's limitations, whereas, the Holy Spirit is limitless.
We have seen who is truly behind these organisations masquerading as the Church, and how to avoid them. Believers are best advised to heed these words seriously, as their future is dependent on them.
