PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa’s promise, soon after taking office late last year, to name and shame violators of the country’s exchange controls, appears to have boomeranged on his administration.

Word of advice to you, Mr Editor, and the board of directors… We are in the information age now. It costs less and less for people to get information, and it is at their fingertips. Only the most creative people now make it in this business. I personally have not bought the printed newspaper for 3 years now! You cannot force me or thousands of others to buy it by denying us news online. Ironically it is online where you can reach out to millions of new readers, far exceeding what you can possibly print. So get on with it, be creative or close shop.
