ROBINHO claims Roberto Mancini's tactics are to blame for his Manchester City departure.
The Brazilian, who fell out of favour with former City boss Mark Hughes earlier this season, was expected to revitalise his fortunes under Mancini.

But he continued to find himself on the bench and jumped at the opportunity to rejoin Santos on loan last month.

Robinho, 26, marked his debut on Sunday with a goal in the 2-1 win over Sao Paulo and is clearly glad to be away from Manchester.

He said: "Mancini has a different way of thinking.

"In Brazil, the coach respects the player's characteristics.

"In Europe, they are used to playing with two lines of four players and they don't want to know what you can do.

"There, if you are a forward, the coach sends you on to the pitch just to run. You have to run and that's it."

Robinho is due to return to City after the World Cup.

But the £32.5million British record signing is planning to put himself in the shop window by lighting up South Africa.

He said: "I am preparing mentally and physically to be the best player at the World Cup.

"I'm at a good age, so I have to get flying." - The Sun.
