THE Tobacco Research Board (TRB) has ordered the withdrawal of several pesticides used in tobacco farming from the market to protect human health, The Financial Gazette has learnt.
Rhoda Mavuka, head of crop production at the TRB, told The Financial Gazette that the recall of the pesticides had been done to protect human health.
“We have withdrawn several agrochemicals or pesticides from use in the tobacco industry,” she said.
