PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa’s government should quickly address the current cash crisis if it is to be taken seriously on its “Zimbabwe is open for business” mantra. Observing the current dire situation and to borrow from the famous poet, William Butler Yeats, “things are falling apart and the centre will soon fold” unless Mnangagwa quickly comes up with a miracle that will ensure foreign currency is readily available in the country. Otherwise it would be futile ― or rather foolish ― for the electorate to put its trust and hope for the next five years in a man who has failed to resolve the cash crisis.
