ACCORDING to John Burton, who borrows from Maslow, when people don’t get their needs satisfied, they become unhappy and agitated. The needs are not only clothes, food and shelter, but also self-development ― people want to improve their wellbeing, let alone better plan for their offspring’s future. Students of sociology know this too well. Now, the looming July 30, 2018 election comes across as another chance for both the leadership and the generality of Zimbabweans to work towards that ― development and progress.
