Zimbabwe’s PGMs have a higher concentration of platinum in relation to other precious metals. RECYCLING of platinum group metals (PGMs) in some markets suppressed revenue growth in the primary sector last year, Minerals Marketing Corporation of Zimbabwe (MMCZ) statistics showed this week. Platinum, together with gold, are the biggest revenue generators for Zimbabwe’s mining industry. Chamber of Mines of Zimbabwe chief executive officer, Isaac Kwesu, said last week that the two minerals account for 70 percent of revenues generated by the mining industry.
